Bratoš wines was founded by Miho Bratoš, a long-time manager of a local winery, in order to focus the family's love of wine production on preserving the indigenous grape variety of Dubrovnik Malvasia and producing top Croatian wine taking the best from Konavle field and Mediterranean climate.

The Bratoš family has been present in Konavle for more than 500 years, the southernmost part of Croatia, and in the last century they have been engaged in trade, while viticulture was intended for the production of wine for their own needs.
The winery located in Gruda, a place about 30 kilometers from Dubrovnik, produces just over 15,000 bottles a year. His son Ante and his wife Renata took care of the vineyard, the cellar, the production and sale of wine, as well as the expansion of the business.

After retiring, Miho Bratoš revitalized the family vineyard and on two hectares, in addition to the indigenous white variety of Dubrovnik Malvasia, he also planted white varieties of maraština and Muscat yellow and black variety Merlot. He continued the traditional hand-picking of grapes, but turned to modern processes and the latest technology in wine production.
